Apparently metairie isn't as bad as the mayor is making it look on the news. My dad just talked to one of his neighbors who didn't evacuate, and he said that they got one of the pumps back up and working. He said its pumping the water out of met. pretty fast right now.

Michelle called Ms. Maes earlier today. They are still there serving ppl warm beer and such. They said Magazine wasn't too bad, but that was this morning.

At least there's a little good news in all of this.
